Philosophy & Coaching Approach

The Third Face

The name The Third Face is inspired by a Japanese proverb that describes the three faces we each have:

  • The first face is the one we show to the world.

  • The second face is the one we show to close friends and family.

  • The third face is the one we never show to anyone - it is our truest self.

This coaching practice exists to create a space where individuals and teams can connect with that third face - free from external expectations, limitations, and judgment.

For individuals, this means uncovering your truest strengths and potential.

For teams, it means creating the conditions for trust, authenticity, and collaboration to flourish so that by working collectively and honestly, the hidden face within the team dynamic can emerge as a powerful source of strength and connection

How I Coach

I do not believe in a one-size-fits-all approach to coaching. My style is emergent, adaptive, and intuitive. I integrate methodologies to shape a process that meets you where you are, including:

  • Co-Active Coaching - Emphasising intuition, curiosity, and the belief that every individual is naturally creative, resourceful, and whole.

  • Solutions-Focused Coaching - Helping individuals and teams find what is already working and build on it.

  • Gestalt Coaching - Encouraging awareness of the present moment to unlock insight and action.

  • Systemic Team Coaching - Taking a bigger-picture view, working with individuals and teams to understand their interactions, structures, and challenges in context.
